This Scara Lightweight-robot is being design with aim of improve the knowledge of robotics teaching. The joint arrangement of the robot has parallel axes, the arm is slightly compatible with the X-Y direction but rigid in the Z direction.

The mechanical arrange allows the arm to extend into confined areas and then retract or fold out. This is a key factor for transferring parts from one cell to another or loading / unloading processing stations that are enclosed.
