Mobile omni-crawler robot

The omni-crawler mechanism is a circular cross-section and has active rolling axes at the center of the circles. Conventional crawler mechanisms can support massive loads, but cannot produce sideways motion.

The platform usually lacks enough manoeuvrability to move in narrow spaces. The crawler mechanism has the advantage to produces also sideling motion in pipes surface for inspection; but, it is not so easy to set the position of the crawler vehicle to trajectory like caterpillar chains.
