The aluminum F450 quadcopter represents a rugged, highly modular approach to custom drone design. Measuring 450mm diagonally from motor hub to motor hub, this platform utilizes a custom-fabricated aluminum chassis instead of standard molded polyamide or carbon fiber plates.

The quadcopter is assembled with 2826 brushless outrunner motors, a 3S LiPo battery, and an STM32F722 flight controller integrated into the F450 aluminum frame. This aluminum profile offers the advantage of an efficient thermal heatsink and is coated with electrostatic paint to prevent short circuits. Furthermore, to mitigate structural vibration, the flight controller and data lines are isolated using several soft silicone dampening pads.
